Singapore’s United Overseas Bank is reportedly set to become the first foreign lender to build its Vietnam headquarters at the International Financial Centre (IFC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) also held a well-attended conference in Ho Chi Minh City last week, which explored the key themes in Vietnam’s financial landscape.

💰 Singapore’s DyStar Success
Deloitte Singapore – the receivers appointed by the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) – announced the completed sale of shares in dyes and chemicals manufacturer DyStar Global Holdings.
At an implied valuation of around USD 1.8 billion, the transaction is one of the largest receiverships in Singapore over the past decade, according to A&O Shearman, the international counsel advising the receivers. Singapore law firm WongPartnership also acted for the receivers.

The Global Private Capital Association (GPCA) has released the second edition of its Southeast Asia Women Investors Directory, which features 420 women deploying private capital across asset classes in Southeast Asia.

Indonesian law firms PSHP Law and Adrem Law Firm have merged to create PSHP Adrem Law, Asian Legal Business reported. The merged firm will serve domestic and international clients on Indonesian law matters including cross-border transactions and disputes.
